The Monarch Custom Plywood Inc. Prizewinner, the red oak King console table, was created for GUS Design Group, a furniture design and manufacturing company in Toronto. The project aimed to design an accent piece addressing the storage needs of apartment living while aligning with GUS' brand identity. Inspired by GUS' Stanley console table, the King console table features a slanted and recessed design to collect and organize items like keys and phones. The CNC'd feature offers a solution to clutter, an industrial aesthetic, adjustable legs for stability on uneven surfaces, and eliminates the front bar for easy access to everyday shoes. The result is a minimalist yet highly functional design.
